From JBVandaag to the JJIM.bio: exciting!
By now, you must have noticed: the JBVandaag has changed... Both the title and layout have had a once over and been adapted to the latest situation. The rebranding of our site, on and in the buildings is taking shape – you can no longer see Janssen Biologics, but Johnson & Johnson. We are of course part of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines, so it only makes sense that the name of JBVandaag change as well. At the same time, we want to exude more of a “magazine-feel” rather than a newsletter.

Inspired by LINDA., no doubt known to everyone, I came up with the name of (the) JJIM. With a double J, though, because of course that stands for Johnson & Johnson. The IM after it, following the logic, means Innovative Medicine. But we are more than that, we are Biologics, and thus we have BIO. And, just like LINDA. with a ‘.’ after it. I preferred to see a bit of a big dot within it, in smaller letters: BIO. The designers of our communications agency thought the same and are responsible for the conception and execution of this beautiful (in my opinion) new logo. I am very curious about your opinions!
On the next page, Yvonne Bos tells us a bit more about the rebranding of the site, with some more background. Some of the photos were taken by our professional photographer Nick van der Windt, who is also a J&J IM employee and a highly respected member of the JJIM.bio editorial board. Someone else who likes to take pictures is Jan-Piet (JP) Heemskerk. He often captures the SEC activities on film, such as the Disney children's party and the bowling evenings.
Other articles with great photos are those of the Care Days. In December, colleagues decorated the De Wilbert nursing home in Katwijk completely in the Christmas spirit. A month earlier we rolled up our sleeves for the animals of Dierentehuis Stevenshage in Leiden. And recently we also have an animal on our site – a service dog called Nigrum who is more than happy to introduce himself.
Of course there are also updates on more serious matters, so happy reading!
