Disney children's party
Also in 2024, the SEC organised a party for the children of J&J employees. Like previous years, the party was at the Smalspoor museum in Valkenburg. This time the theme was “Disney”, and the children were allowed to come dressed up – many did. A real, life-size Mickey Mouse welcomed the children together with several Disney princesses.

The pension roadshow
The EPN (Experienced Professionals Network) aims to bring together experienced J&J employees so that they can learn from each other, exchange experiences and continue to discover new perspectives. We do this because we are convinced of our added value in the company, for other often younger colleagues, but certainly also towards each other. Based on this vision, we therefore regularly organise various networking moments or informative sessions.

Care Day at Dierentehuis Stevenshage
Throughout the year, Johnson & Johnson Benelux employees are committed to various charities in the region. There are a variety of projects in the pipeline. Think of typical 'rolling up your sleeves' jobs, activities where the fingers literally go into the earth or projects where the emphasis is more on personal attention. On Thursday 7 November, a number of colleagues carried out various jobs at Dierentehuis (Animal home) Stevenshage in Leiden.
Charity
You gave your time and effort to Dierentehuis Stevenshage, an organization where stray and abandoned animals are taken in and cared for from Kaag en Braassem, Katwijk, Leiden, Leiderdorp, Oegstgeest, Teylingen, Voorschoten and Zoeterwoude. They take in dogs and cats, rabbits, rodents and even tame birds.
Activity
Our employees planted bulbs and perennial plants, they covered the path with a fresh layer of shells, put wooden poles in the ground, made wood rills, removed weeds and leaves, pruned hedges, collected balls and so on to freshen up the area. In short, many things to help Dierentehuis Stevenshage!

Care Day at De Wilbert
Throughout the year, Johnson & Johnson Benelux employees are committed to various charities in the region. There are a variety of projects in the pipeline. Think of typical 'rolling up your sleeves' jobs, activities where the fingers literally go into the earth or projects where the emphasis is more on personal attention. On Friday December 6, some of our colleagues decorated Nursing home De Wilbert in Katwijk for Christmas.
Charity – Nursing home De Wilbert is located in the heart of Katwijk. The home houses 190 residents, is surrounded by greenery, and has a beautiful courtyard garden and a small animal pasture. The home houses elderly who are (temporarily) no longer able to live independently.
Christmas spirit – For these residents our employees decorated the home with Christmas trees and ornaments in the morning. In the afternoon they enjoyed a musical Christmas bingo with goodies together with the residents of De Wilbert!

On 31 October 2024, we had our second connect café. From a previous session, it emerged that there was a lot of interest in a pension roadshow.
Valuable education
Ron Verhulst, EPN-er and our Pension Manager at J&J, gave a very valuable education on what is going to change in pension schemes. Ron explained the pension fund, and about the current scheme and the new scheme, as far as known. And in addition, he answered lots of questions from the EPN attendees. After the session, there was room to chat afterward while enjoying bitterballen and a drink.
Third connect café
Our third connect café is tentatively scheduled for 10 April 2025* with the topic of generational differences*.

The children could colour, tinker and make buttons. The children could also get their faces painted. During the afternoon, there were several rides on the steam train, which were eagerly used. They could also visit the museum itself. And of course there was a present for every child.
More than 200 children
In short, it was, like every year, a wonderful party! This time, no fewer than 200 children ran around enthusiastically.
