Collecting points of improvement together

Driving Results through Individual & Organizational Accountability
Once again we have reached an important milestone at OPS-PR! Together with Arjan Schuijer, we organized the second Senior Day on December 6, where all seniors of the department (OPS-PR) came together. The purpose of this day was to strengthen team spirit and connections, while discussing essential topics suggested by the seniors themselves. This twice-yearly initiative not only helps us get closer together as a team but also helps us collectively make improvements within our department.
An inspiring start
The day began with a barometer, which we used to gauge the mood and expectations. Then our department manager, Muhammad Khan, took the floor. He outlined the company goals and expectations for 2025 and the specific role the senior group plays in it. His vision and motivation gave an inspiring impetus to the day, making it clear how important our input is to the success of the organization. Together we are working toward an efficient, streamlined and future-proof department.
“The second Senior Day was a great success”
Targeted group sessions and strategic insights
The topics suggested by the seniors were discussed and evaluated in group form. This led to in-depth discussions and valuable insights. An important part of the day was the evaluation of the digital handover list, which was recently introduced. Together we collected points of improvement to further optimize the effectiveness of this tool. In addition, we addressed various topics using the H-model, with each group remaining responsible for the further elaboration of the points discussed.

Muhammad Khan gave an inspiring boost to the day.

Some key topics covered:
- Process flow and workload distribution
With the addition of Suite 3 in 2025, the idea of using two process leads arose. This would not only ensure better assurance of process flow but also balance workload distribution. - Goals for 2025
What do we need to achieve our goals by 2025? Consider:- Tank capacity and the actions needed in it
- Cycle times and the continuous maintenance of flow
- Equipment and utilisation
- Fermentation and system challenges
Together we examined how to efficiently address challenges within SAP and MES. A great result of this was that a Kaizen session was later organized to identify problem areas together with fermentation and deploy targeted improvement actions.
“A day full of constructive conversations, shared insights and concrete action items”
An effective and valuable day
The second Senior Day was once again a great success. It was a day full of constructive discussions, shared insights and concrete action points. By supporting each other and combining our expertise, together we are taking steps towards a more efficient and stronger department.
Thanks to all participants
Thank you for your commitment and involvement. Thanks to your contribution, we can continue to grow and build a successful future for OPS-PR. We look forward to the next Senior Day and the further development of our joint initiatives!
